Description

Every model in the HPC by Dekko Lightweight Concrete lineup is rectangular or square -- the Alea, the Avera, the Sonoma, the Serenade. Every model except one. The Belmont is Dekko's only fire feature with a cylindrical shape, and that distinction is not just cosmetic. A round fire pit draws people in equally from all directions. There is no front or back, no better side and worse side, no seating hierarchy imposed by the shape of the vessel. You place it in the center of a space and the group arranges itself around it naturally. The Belmont is 36 inches in diameter and 16 inches tall -- substantial enough to anchor a patio, proportional enough not to crowd it -- and the cylindrical form, combined with Dekko's seamless manufactured corner finish, gives it a presence that reads as sculpture as much as appliance.

 

The Belmont is handcrafted by Dekko in North America from their proprietary ultra-light concrete formula -- the same material that puts every piece in the Dekko lineup at less than half the weight of traditional concrete construction. At 120 pounds, the Belmont is manageable for two people to install, light enough for commercial terrace and rooftop applications, and durable enough to be left outdoors year-round. Hairline cracks may appear over time due to extreme weather conditions, but per Dekko they do not impact the integrity or longevity of the fire pit -- all Dekko concrete is fibre-reinforced to prevent cracks from growing. Six concrete colors are available: Ash, Charcoal, Clay, Limestone, Natural, and Sandstone. Three stone media options ship with the unit: Ivory Beachstone, Slate Beachstone, or Black Lava Rock.

 

The fire system delivers 65,000 BTU in Match Lit configuration -- a chrome key valve with adjustable flame output, no electricity required. The Electronic Ignition upgrade reaches 140,000 BTU with a 66-inch power cord, requiring a 120VAC or 24VAC GFCI-protected outdoor outlet and operating in On/Off mode only (the higher output is available through the electronic valve system, not adjustable like the Match Lit). The EI system is compatible with home automation systems, wall timers, and pool controllers, making it the right choice for any installation where remote or automated fire control is part of the broader smart home or outdoor living setup. An LP/NG convertible burner is included and ships configured for the fuel type ordered. When using an LP tank, the tank will not fit inside this unit -- all LP applications require an external tank with a supply line. Propane units include a 60-inch hose and regulator. Natural gas hose is sold separately.

 

The Belmont ships in 2 to 4 weeks via freight carrier, curbside delivery only. Inspect the unit upon arrival before the driver departs. A certified gas technician must complete all installations.

• Hairline Cracks Are Normal -- Hairline cracks may appear over time due to extreme weather conditions and heat exposure. Per Dekko, these do not impact the integrity or longevity of the fire pit. All Dekko concrete is fibre-reinforced to prevent cracks from growing.
• Outdoor Use Only -- A certified gas technician must complete all installations. All electrical connections for EI models must be made by a licensed electrician. If burner or gas line issues arise, only a certified technician should complete service work to comply with local installation and service codes.

INSTALLATION NOTE: A certified gas technician must install all units. All electrical connections for EI must be made by a licensed electrician. EI requires a 120VAC GFCI-protected outdoor outlet or 24VAC connection -- GFCI outlet not included. LP tank will not fit inside the Belmont; an external LP tank with supply line is required for all propane applications. Do not block ventilation openings. For combustible surface installation, the FPI-DECK20SQ deck insulation kit is required -- concrete pad must be a minimum of 1 inch thick. Do not cover burner orifices when placing stone media. Lava rock must be placed on burner surface first; decorative stone is placed over the lava rock. Inspect and discard stones with visible hairline cracks before placement. When using the fire pit for the first time, burn for 1 to 2 hours consecutively while keeping a safe distance in case of stone cracking or popping. Do not place wet lava rock on a fire -- allow it to dry completely before use. Inspect unit upon freight delivery before the driver departs.
