Description

If the Serenade 32 is built for intimate evenings and smaller outdoor spaces, the Serenade 40 is built for the moments that call for something more -- a larger gathering, a grander patio, a fire feature that holds its own as the undisputed centerpiece of your outdoor living space. At 40 inches wide and 19 inches tall, the Serenade 40 is a substantial, striking presence that commands attention before the flame is even lit.

 

The same basin-shaped bowl design that defines the Serenade series -- the smooth round curves, the narrow ledge, the clean minimalist profile -- is here scaled up to a size that suits larger patios, pool decks, commercial terraces, and any outdoor environment where the fire feature needs to do more than accent the space. The Serenade 40 fills it. With 36 inches of lateral clearance on each side and 84 inches of vertical clearance required above, it is built to be the center of the room.

 

Every Serenade 40 is handmade by Dekko in North America using their proprietary ultra-lightweight concrete -- solid, integral cast material that is 60% lighter than traditional concrete, contains no added resin, and requires no sealant. The color is cast throughout the full depth of the material, not applied as a surface coating, so the finish will not chip, patina, peel, or flake with years of outdoor use. Six color options are available -- Natural, Limestone, Clay, Ash, Sandstone, and Charcoal -- and three decorative aggregate options ship with the unit: Ivory Beachstone, Slate Beachstone, or Black Lava Rock.

 

The LP/NG convertible burner ships with every unit. The match lit configuration delivers 65,000 BTU with fully adjustable flame height via the removable chrome on/off key. The electronic ignition upgrade steps up to 140,000 BTU with push-button on/off remote control included -- but note that electronic ignition models require a fixed piping gas supply and are not compatible with portable LP tanks. The match lit version accepts portable LP via the 3/8-inch x 144-inch hose assembly with regulator, available separately. The electronic ignition requires a 120V outdoor receptacle, installed and grounded in accordance with local codes.

 

For deck installations, a deck insulation kit (basalt material and instructions) is required when placing the Serenade 40 on a wood or composite deck. This kit is not included and must be ordered separately.

 

Professional installation is required. All propane and natural gas fire pits must be installed by a certified gas technician. If any issues arise with the burner or gas line, a certified technician is required for all service work.
