The enclosure is constructed from 16-gauge cold rolled steel, welded into a rigid rectangular form and finished with a weather-proof powder coat in your choice of six colors: Black, Gray, Java, Pewter, Silver Vein, or White. At 48 inches long and 24 inches wide, the Tejas is proportioned for a dining table, a seating group, a built-in patio installation, or any outdoor space where a long, low horizontal flame is the right design choice. The H-burner configuration produces a wide, even flame that fills the full length of the pan -- not a concentrated center flame, but a broad, dramatic display that reads from across the space.

 

Four ignition configurations are available, each with a different performance profile. The Match Lit version (MLFPK) delivers 65,000 BTU with adjustable flame height via key valve -- the simplest and most reliable option with no electronics and no power requirements. The Push Button/Flame Sensing configuration (FPPK) runs on AA batteries, produces 150,000 BTU, and adds an automatic gas shut-off if the flame is extinguished -- no power line required, but with the safety benefit of flame sensing technology. The Electronic Ignition On/Off version (EI) and the Electronic Ignition Hi/Lo version (EI-HI/LO) both produce 150,000 BTU on 120VAC or 24VAC, with the Hi/Lo version adding variable flame height control and a remote control included in the box.

 

The pan assembly is a 2.5-inch deep bowl-style design with a 1-3/8-inch lip. The 18 x 6 inch 304 stainless steel H-burner (model TOR-HBSB24) sits in the pan and is pre-assembled at the factory. The enclosure is pre-cut for FPPK or MLFPK valve installation, and venting runs along the full bottom of the enclosure -- open toe-kick style ventilation that keeps the burner supplied with combustion air without requiring any field modifications. Adequate drainage at the installation site is required.

INSTALLATION NOTE: Venting along the bottom of the enclosure must remain clear of debris and any finishing material at all times. Adequate drainage at the installation site is required. A certified gas technician must make all gas connections. A certified electrician must install all AC electrical connections for EI models. The enclosure is pre-cut for FPPK or MLFPK valve installation. For EI models, the valve box mounts inside the enclosure per the installation instructions.
