Construction follows the same system KoKoMo uses across their entire island line, and it is the thing that sets their islands apart from the wood-framed or plywood-core builds that have been standard in the category for years. The frame is overbuilt 18-gauge galvanized steel. Over that, KoKoMo layers name-brand Hardie backer concrete board -- the same fire-rated, moisture-resistant cement board used in commercial construction -- before finishing the exterior in durable synthetic latex stucco. The 560-square-inch cooking area is served by commercial-grade, non-coated stainless steel cooking grids and a commercial-grade ceramic searing briquette system. The dual-wall hood has a seamless polished edge and squared-off profile, with a hood-mounted temperature gauge, halogen interior lights, and LED front panel lighting.
