The Leisurecraft Canadian Timber Avalon is a new entry in the Canadian Timber Collection and the most substantial sauna Leisurecraft has brought to the lineup. Where a barrel or pod sauna asks you to sit at one level and stay there, the Avalon gives you three -- a three-tier bench system built into the full-height interior that lets every bather choose their heat experience rather than accept the one the sauna assigns them. Heat rises. The top bench is the most intense. The middle is the everyday sweet spot. The bottom is measured, comfortable, good for longer sessions or for anyone easing into the heat. One sauna, three distinct experiences, and every person in the room gets to choose which one they want. That is the feature that separates the Avalon from every other outdoor sauna in this price range, and it is one that only makes sense when you step inside.

The walls are 2-3/4-inch thick double-groove solid Eastern White Cedar logs -- substantially heavier and more thermally dense than the stave construction used in barrel designs. That wall mass holds heat more effectively, takes longer to cool down between sessions, and gives the entire structure a presence and solidity that announces itself the moment you walk up to it. The interior width of 79-1/4 inches and depth of 77-1/2 inches give a family or a small group room to actually spread out, and the bench lengths of 79 inches mean that lying down is a real option, not just a theoretical one.

The front of the Avalon is dominated by a single large tempered glass window that spans 75 inches wide by 50-1/4 inches tall -- an opening that is closer in scale to a picture window than a sauna window. It fills the interior with natural light, connects the space to the outdoors, and gives the Avalon an architectural presence from the exterior that stands apart from anything in the barrel or pod category. The roof is a standing seam black metal design that extends well beyond the cedar structure on all sides, providing serious weather protection and a modern finish that works equally well at a private residence, a cottage, or a wellness property.

The Avalon is compatible with both electric and wood-burning heaters, available as add-ons at time of purchase. The structure ships as a pre-cut, pre-drilled flat-packed kit with all cedar log wall components, bench system, metal roof, door, hardware, and a full assembly manual.

NOTE: A heater is required for this sauna to operate and must be selected at time of purchase. A level, solid foundation (concrete pad, wood deck, crushed stone, or paver blocks) is required prior to assembly and is the responsibility of the customer. If a wood-burning heater is selected, a chimney kit is required and must be selected at time of purchase. All electrical connections for electric heater installations must be made by a licensed electrician on a dedicated 240V circuit. Do NOT use a GFCI breaker.

• Eastern White Cedar Throughout -- The entire structure, benches, backrests, and interior finishes are Eastern White Cedar, providing natural rot resistance, insect resistance, tight knot grain, warm natural tones, and the aromatic cedar scent that defines the traditional sauna interior. Wood is sourced from certified sustainable mills.
• Large Tempered Glass Front Window -- The front window spans 75 inches wide by 50-1/4 inches tall, operating at a scale closer to an architectural picture window than a typical sauna window. It floods the interior with natural light and connects the sauna visually to its surroundings.
• Full-Height Cedar Door with Tempered Glass -- The door opening is 27-1/2 inches wide by 74-3/4 inches tall, providing comfortable walk-in entry at full standing height.
• Standing Seam Black Metal Roof with Extended Overhang -- The standing seam black metal roof extends the full structure width and depth plus significant overhang, reaching 120 inches wide by 119 inches deep. The overhang protects the cedar walls, the door, and the window from direct weather exposure and gives the exterior a contemporary architectural finish.
• Compatible with Electric and Wood-Burning Heaters -- The Avalon is designed to accept both electric and wood-burning heater installations. Heater selection is made at time of purchase.
• Four Exterior Stain Options -- The cedar exterior can be finished in one of four Livos Alis natural oil stain colors: Black, Bongossi, Light Teak, or Sesame. Stain is not included and is applied by the customer after assembly.
• Pre-Cut, Pre-Drilled Assembly Kit -- All cedar log wall components are pre-cut and pre-drilled at the factory. The kit includes all required hardware and a complete assembly manual.
