The Sequoia Outdoor St. Clair 10 by 12 is the asymmetric configuration in the St. Clair line, 120 inches across the 10-foot width and 138 inches across the 12-foot depth, both at the same 98-inch standing height as every other St. Clair. It covers the same ground as a 10 by 10 in one direction and reaches further in the other, giving the structure a directionality that fits the way outdoor dining and lounge spaces are actually arranged.

 

The material is Sequoia's proprietary HDPS -- high-density polystyrene, the company's founding polymer and the reason Sequoia is one of the very few producers globally capable of building a poly lumber pergola at all. Standard poly lumber -- HDPE, the material that dominates the outdoor furniture market -- is too pliable for structural overhead applications. HDPS is a different material: lighter than HDPE, significantly more rigid, and specifically engineered for the load-bearing requirements that a pergola frame demands. The 10 by 12 St. Clair is not a furniture piece stretched into a structure. It is an engineered outdoor building product made from the only plastic rigid enough to be one.

 

The surface carries Sequoia's real wood grain embossing -- widely cited across the industry as the most authentic wood appearance available in a poly lumber product. It looks like a wood pergola. No staining, no painting, no sealing, no seasonal treatment. Power wash it when it needs cleaning. The color -- Black, Weathered Acorn, or Coastal Teak -- is integral to the HDPS material and will not fade, chip, or peel regardless of UV exposure or climate.

 

Assembly is fastened with 304-grade stainless steel hardware throughout. Mounting brackets are included. Anchor hardware for the specific installation surface is supplied by the installer.
