Description

The Remi is a different kind of fire and water bowl than the Maya. Where the Maya is square, angular, and architectural, the Remi is curved -- a round hammered copper vessel with a profile that sits closer to the traditional fire bowl form while doing something most fire bowls cannot do: it runs water. Not through a discrete scupper channel, but through a full-width spillway: the 31-inch round bowl carries a built-in spillway fitting with a 1-1/2-inch water line connection, meaning the water flow is wide, continuous, and designed to cascade from the bowl's rim into a pool, fountain basin, or water feature below. Fire at the center, water over the edge -- the two running at the same time from the same vessel.

 

The bowl is 31 inches in diameter and 11 inches tall, formed from high-quality raw copper and hand-hammered by The Outdoor Plus at their facility in Ontario, California. The copper will develop a blue/green patina over time as it weathers outdoors -- The Outdoor Plus is explicit about this, noting that due to copper's natural properties and surrounding environment the material will change its color into a blue/green hue when exposed to the various natural elements. The fire system uses a 10-inch 304 stainless steel burner on a 304 stainless steel pan, producing 45,000 BTU on both the Match Lit and 12V Electronic Ignition configurations. The burner is designed with a raised, tapered profile that prevents water from entering the gas line -- a purpose-built engineering choice for a bowl that runs water continuously -- with multiple drain holes in the burner itself to release any water that may enter through the flame holes. The 304 stainless steel construction throughout the fire pan system ensures resistance to the moisture exposure inherent in a fire and water application.

 

A key valve and chrome key are included standard in both ignition configurations -- not an add-on as on some other TOP Fire & Water bowls. The Match Lit kit includes the key valve, key, gas orifice, and gas hose. The 12V Electronic Ignition kit adds a Plug & Play Electronic Valve and pilot igniter, CSA Certified per ANSI Z21.97-2017 / CSA 2.41-2017. The 12V system is swimming-pool-certified, allowing it to be controlled by a pool controller, remote control, home automation system, or light switch through a licensed electrician's wiring. Both configurations are available in Natural Gas or Liquid Propane. Lava rock must be placed on the burner first; fire glass is placed over and around the lava rock.
