What sets this bowl apart from every other fire feature on the market is the material itself. Hammered copper is a living finish. The moment it is exposed to the outdoors, it begins an aging process that no other material can replicate -- the surface gradually shifts from its original warm penny tones through rich amber and chocolate browns, eventually developing the classic blue-green verdigris patina that copper has been prized for across centuries of architecture and art. This is not a defect or a sign of wear. It is exactly what copper is supposed to do, and it means the bowl you own in ten years will be more characterful and more beautiful than the one you received on day one. No two Cazo bowls will ever look exactly alike -- both because each one is hand-hammered by skilled craftspeople in the USA, and because each will weather uniquely depending on its environment.

 

The hammered texture does more than just look distinctive. The irregular surface catches and scatters firelight differently than a flat finish would, creating a warmer, more dynamic glow around the bowl that smooth metal and concrete simply cannot match.

 

Available in three sizes -- 24, 30, and 36 inches -- the Cazo scales from a compact accent piece for a smaller patio to a commanding centerpiece for a larger estate or commercial space. Each size is available in your choice of natural gas or liquid propane, and with either a Match Lit or 12V CSA Certified Electronic Ignition system.

 

The Match Lit kit is LC Certified and requires no electricity -- you simply turn the key valve and light. The Electronic Ignition option is the Smart Weather Electronic Ignition System (SWEIS), a 12V pool-rated system with flame sense technology that automatically shuts off the gas if the flame is extinguished and relights it automatically if wind blows it out. The SWEIS has been tested to stay lit in rain, snow, and winds up to 55 mph and can be wired to a pool controller, remote, or home automation system.

 

Every bowl ships with a classic black lava rock burning display. You can upgrade to fire glass for a completely different aesthetic -- fire glass is sold separately, and approximately 50 pounds is recommended for the 36-inch model.

 

Because each bowl is handcrafted to order, slight natural variations in the texture of the hammering and in the initial copper tone are a normal and expected characteristic of the product.

 

Note: Due to copper's natural properties, the material will develop a blue-green patina over time when exposed to outdoor elements. All copper products ship in the Hammered Patina Copper finish as standard. A Smooth Patina finish is available upon request -- contact us for a quote before ordering.

  Available in 24-inch, 30-inch, and 36-inch top diameter sizes. The 24-inch is ideal as a compact accent piece or for smaller patios. The 30-inch is the most versatile all-around size for typical residential use. The 36-inch is appropriate for larger outdoor spaces, pools, and commercial or hospitality settings.
• Natural Gas and Liquid Propane Compatible
  Every Cazo ships configured for either natural gas or liquid propane -- select your fuel type at the time of order. The appropriate gas orifice is included. For liquid propane applications, the bowl is custom-configured with ventilation on the bottom.
• Match Lit Ignition (LC Certified)
  The Match Lit option is a simple, reliable key-valve ignition system. No electricity required. Turn the key valve to open the gas, ignite with a match or lighter, and adjust flame height by turning the key. Virtually maintenance-free and suitable for any outdoor setting without access to electrical connections.
• 12V Electronic Ignition Option (CSA Certified)
  The Smart Weather Electronic Ignition System (SWEIS) is a 12V pool-rated electronic ignition system with push-button or remote on/off control. Flame sense technology automatically shuts off the gas supply if the flame goes out for any reason, and automatically relights if wind is the cause. The system has been independently tested to operate reliably in rain, snow, and winds up to 55 mph. It can be integrated with a pool controller, standard remote control, or home automation system. Its compact construction allows installation in tight spaces.
• 304 Stainless Steel Fire Pan and Burner
  The fire pan and round burner are both constructed from 304 stainless steel for long-term corrosion resistance and durability. The standard pan depth is 2 inches on all sizes.
• Lava Rock Media Included
  Classic black lava rock is included with every bowl as the standard burning display. Lava rock is heat-resistant and provides a clean, natural look. It can be replaced with fire glass for a completely different aesthetic (sold separately).
• Key Valve Included
  Every bowl ships with a key valve and key. If you prefer the key valve professionally installed on the backside of the bowl for a cleaner look, the OPT-KVI key valve installation service is available as an add-on at the time of order.
• Made in the USA
  Every Cazo Hammered Copper Fire Bowl is individually handcrafted by The Outdoor Plus at their facility in Ontario, California. Manufacturing domestically allows for faster lead times than imported alternatives and ensures direct quality control over every bowl that ships.
• ANSI and CSA Certified
  The 12V Electronic Ignition system is certified to ANSI Z21.97-(2017) and CSA 2.41-(2017) standards. The Match Lit system is LC Certified.
