Description
There is something quietly striking about the Maya Fire Bowl in Wood Grain Concrete -- a fire bowl that combines the raw, natural texture of wood with the strength and permanence of stone. Where other fire bowls choose between elegance and durability, the Maya Wood Grain delivers both. Its square silhouette draws inspiration from the grandeur of Mayan pyramids, and the wood grain surface finish adds a dimension of organic warmth that transforms it from an outdoor appliance into a genuine design statement.
Every Maya Wood Grain Fire Bowl is individually handcrafted in the U.S.A. by The Outdoor Plus using their proprietary Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete blend. GFRC is the same material used throughout the Maya collection, but in the Wood Grain series the exterior is finished with an intricate, tactile wood grain texture that mimics the look and feel of natural wood without any of the maintenance, weathering, or fire risk that comes with actual timber. The visual effect is extraordinary -- the warmth of wood, the permanence of concrete, the drama of living flame.
Three finish colors are available -- Oak, Ebony, and Ivory -- each offering a distinct character. Oak is warm and natural, Ebony is dramatic and bold, and Ivory is clean and contemporary. Whatever your outdoor palette, one of these three will anchor it beautifully.
Like all GFRC products from The Outdoor Plus, the color in the Maya Wood Grain is cast throughout the material, not applied to the surface. That means minor chips or surface wear will not expose a different underlying color, and the glass fiber reinforcement ensures the bowl will not rust or crack the way steel-reinforced concrete can over time. The GFRC blend is approximately 50% lighter than traditional poured concrete and engineered to withstand freezing temperatures and marine environments without degrading.
Available in 24-inch and 30-inch square sizes, the Maya Wood Grain works equally well as a compact accent piece for a smaller patio or as a focal point for a larger outdoor living area. The 304 stainless steel burner is individually drilled -- not punched -- for superior, consistent flame performance. Choose Natural Gas or Liquid Propane, and select either an LC Certified Match Lit ignition or a CSA Certified 12V Electronic Ignition for push-button convenience with built-in safety.

- Proprietary GFRC Concrete Construction -- Made from The Outdoor Plus's own Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete blend. GFRC is approximately 50% lighter than traditional poured concrete, stronger, and engineered for year-round outdoor use in all climates including freezing temperatures and coastal/marine environments.
- Color Cast Throughout the Concrete -- The color is mixed directly into the GFRC blend, not applied as a surface coating. Minor chips or surface wear will not expose a different underlying color.
- Glass Fiber Reinforcement -- No steel rebar. Glass fiber reinforcement will not rust or crack over time, providing lasting structural integrity in outdoor conditions.
- Two Available Sizes -- 24" x 24" and 30" x 30" square top diameter options to suit a range of outdoor spaces and design scales.
- Premium 304 Stainless Steel Burner -- Individually drilled (not punched) burner holes deliver a superior, consistent flame. Both the 24" and 30" models use an 8-inch burner.
- Dual Fuel Compatible -- Works with both Natural Gas and Liquid Propane. The appropriate gas orifice is included. Whistle-free hose connection.
- Match Lit Ignition Option (LC Certified) -- Simple key-valve manual ignition. No electricity required. Adjust flame height by turning the key valve. Simple, reliable, and virtually maintenance-free.
- 12V Electronic Ignition Option (CSA Certified) -- The Smart Weather Electronic Ignition System (SWEIS) is a 12V pool-certified electronic ignition for push-button or remote-controlled on/off operation. Flame sense technology automatically shuts off gas if the flame goes out and relights automatically if blown out by wind. Tested in rain, snow, and winds up to 55 mph. Compatible with pool controllers, remote controls, and home automation systems.
- Lava Rock Display Included -- Classic black lava rock is included with every bowl for an immediate, attractive burning display.
- Compatible with Fire Glass -- Upgrade the included lava rock with fire glass for a completely different look. 25 lbs of fire glass is typically recommended for both sizes. Fire glass or media smaller than 1/2 inch diameter is not recommended for LP applications.
- Drainage Holes -- Built-in drainage holes allow water runoff during outdoor use.
- Optional Key Valve Installation (OPT-KVI) -- Available as an add-on. Includes proper key valve and installation onto the backside of the bowl for a clean, integrated look.
- Designed for Outdoor Use Only -- Engineered for permanent outdoor installation.
